Mama, Do You Love Me?
 小女孩问妈妈：“妈妈，你爱我吗？”妈妈回答：“是的，我爱你，我的宝贝。”小女孩又问：“有多爱呢？”“爱多久呢？”“如果我做了错事，如果我淘气。。。你还会爱我吗？”。。。。。。
是的是的，在北美有很多以类似的方式讲述母爱的绘本，但每看一本都会再次被母爱的宽容、深远、超越时空而感动。
本书于1991年出版，已被翻译成15种文字，全球畅销超过百万册。
让孩子了解到母爱是无条件的、无止境的，对孩子来说非常重要，孩子因此获得充分的安全感，获得自信，获得爱的能力，为幸福人生打下良好的基础。但表达这类主题的儿童绘本在国内几乎还是空白，实在非常可惜非常遗憾。
这本书还有个特别之处就是主角母女是爱斯基摩人，书中处处可见爱斯基摩人独特的服装、生活方式、极地动物、古老传说等，书的最后两页有详细的名词解释，看完这本书，对爱斯基摩特殊文化也会有了很多认识！这本书的绘者Barbara Lavallee就生活在Alaska，是美国非常有名的画家。
另外特别要告诉大家的是，本书的两位作者在2005年6月出版一本《Papa，Do You Love me?》，这本书是通过在非洲生活的一对父子的对话，讲述“父爱同样是无条件无止境的”！背景是在非洲了，当然可以学到很多非洲文化知识了！

What if I put salmon in your parka, ermine in your mittens, and lemmings in your mukluks?

Then I would be worried.
What if I stayed away and sang with the wolves and slept in cave?
Then, Dear One, I would be very sad.

What if I turned into a musk-ox?
Then I would be surprised.
What if I turned into a walrus?
Then I would be surprised and a little scared.
What if I turned into a polar bear,
And I was the meanest bear you ever saw and I had sharp, shiny teeth,
and I chased you into your tent and you cried?
Then I would be very surprised and very scared.
But still, inside the bear, you would be you, and I would love you.
I will love you, forever and for always,
Because you are my Dear One.
