Pearson launches myWorld Social Studies
 Pearson North America has launched two new social studies programmes that use digital storytelling and online adventures to engage elementary and middle school students. myWorld History for middle school students provides richly illustrated stories, game-like assignments and fact-based narratives describing how people throughout history have coped with tragedy and triumph. myWorld Social Studies for elementary students gives learners the opportunity to create their own digital books tied to social studies content, as research shows that using storytelling helps students retain and comprehend information. The programmes join the award-winning myWorld Geography programme which uses videos and stories of real teens from around the world to represent each region studied. |
