Fluffy is Missing Lesson Plan

Fluffy is Missing!
Mary is sad. Her cat Fluffy is missing. Where is Fluffy? Where is Fluffy?
Fluffy is not in the kitchen. Mary's mother is in the kitchen. Where is Fluffy? Where is Fluffy?
Fluffy is not in the living room. Mary's father is in the living room. Where is Fluffy? Where is Fluffy?
Fluffy is on the roof! Now Mary is happy again!

material: PPT in  segment picture style

① That SPECIAL point
Use different objects to make students feel 'fluffy'! For example, a smooth ball, a cup, a fluffy toy… And students can be also asked to feel in the bag, and take out something fluffy.
② Don't miss any chance to recycle / review
review objects in a house and words of shapes
review body parts and adjectives to describe body parts

④ SEQUENCE of asking questions
Compare (which is better?):
What is she thinking about? – Is she happy? – Is she sad? – Why is she sad?
Is she happy? – Is she sad? – What's she thinking about? – Why is she sad?

⑤ recycle / review
review 'She is doing …', review rooms in a house
review all words students have possibly learned

⑥ VOICES
Using different voices:
Use different voices for different characters. Sometimes, you make people speak and have conversations even if there aren't any conversations in the story itself.

Explain why Father is pointing out.

⑦ REPETITION
Don't think it may bore your students if you repeat a lot. Wait until your students can follow you when you repeat.

⑧ SEQUENCE of asking questions
Compare with:
Look at Mary. Is she happy? – Yes.
Yes, she is happy again!!
Why is she happy? – Because she finds Fluffy!
Where is Fluffy? – on the roof.
