有的时候，一个小的语法点细想起来，也会觉得有困惑。最近写的稿子里就有一个关于there is / are …句型的部分。然后看到了这样一个对话：

- Is there a chair in the kitchen?

- No, there isn't a chair in the kitchen.

读起来还算通顺吧。但"There isn't a chair in the kitchen."这到底是不是个正确的句子呢？

答案是否定的。对这句话的回答应该是"No, there aren't any chairs in the kitchen."
