运用不同的声音和语调讲故事
Voice and sound: Make sure your voice is loud and clear. Explore different ways of using your voice for different roles, emotions, etc. Practise the art of the pause — to create suspense, to underline an image, to invite a laugh. 在《Storytelling - 故事教学》中,我们还提到了要运用不同的声音和语调(this is particularly useful in dialogues, to separate different characters) ,以区分不同的人物和情感。比如,一头大象或者是巨人在说话,你就应该让嗓音变粗变低,但是如果是女王在说话,声音就应该提高很多,如果是小仙女在说话,就应该用又细又快的声音。试想一下,你要说We might wake the giant!你应该用什么样的声音和语调呢?当然,应该压低声音,很害怕地说!
下面是LWTE (Longman Welcome to English)一级的Story time – A Good Friend,其中因为有很多个角色,以及角色之间的对话,就很适合老师在讲述的时候,运用不同的声音和语调。Panda的声音要粗一些,说话要慢一些;Monkey的声音要尖一些,说话要快一些;Kangaroo在故事中是主角,也是个英雄人物,所以,声音要清晰宏亮,语速适中;Mimi因为是个小洋娃娃,而且得到了Kangaroo的帮助,所以,声音要细嫩,而且要分别表现害怕和感激的语调……另外,故事中这些玩具都到桌面上去玩了,所以,我在讲这个故事的时候,也特别区分了每个玩具上桌子的动作和声音。
Today is Tim's birthday. Tim is 6 years old now.
Sam and Sandy come to see Tim for his birthday.
Sam takes a birthday cake for Tim.
Sandy gives Tim a birthday card. In the card, it says, 'Dear Tim, Happy Birthday! Love, Sandy'
And she gives Tim a present.
Look at Tim's room.
The children open the cake, and they put it on the desk.
On Tim's bed, there is a doll. The doll's name is Mimi.
On the bed stand, there is a ball, there is a monkey and there is a panda.
And there is dog, it is a real dog. It barks!!
Now Tim is opening the present. What's in the present box?
Ah a kangaroo!!
Tim loves the present very much. He loves the kangaroo!!
