Backpack National Training Tour

China, June to September – Pearson Longman China, together with Global Asia Pacific Education Consultation Co. Ltd, organized a national training tour on Backpack.
Backpack is one of Longman's main ELT coursebooks for children aged 6-12, and one of the most popularly-used imported English coursedbooks for primary school students in China.
Kitty Zhang, Teacher Trainer from Pearson Longman, the chief trainer of this national tour, visited 6 cities (Zhumadian, Henan Province, Baoding, Hebei Province, Changchun, Jilin Province, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, and Shangrao, Jiangxi Province), and did 12 training sessions for about 200 Backpack teachers.
Joyce, Grace and Ruby from Global Asia Pacific were also present in Zhumadian, Baoding, Changchun, Zhangzhou and Shangrao respectively.
According to teachers' request collected and analyzed before this national tour, Kitty's training was in four parts: How to teach stories; How to teach reading; How to teach grammar; and How to teach writing.
At every stop, teachers expressed their excitement and satisfaction to the training, saying they gained much more than they had even expected. And they all looked forward to this kind of training again soon.
