Overview of LWTE:
- Hong Kong Curriculum coursebook
- Based on research and more than 20 years’ experience in serving the primary schools
- Brand new content to match the changing needs of teachers and pupils
Book structure:
- 6 levels
- A and B book in each level
- 7 chapters in each book
- Every 2 chapters are under one module
- Final chapter is a story or a play
A regular chapter structure
- Opening spread – introducing target language (new words, new sentence patterns)
- Reading – reinforcing target language
- Task – using language (Task + Work it out in levels 4-6)
- Language Fun – enjoying language (songs, chants, poems, rhymes, games)

- Authentic Language
- Large Variety of Text Types (stories, personal recounts, biographies, diaries, product information, recipes …)
