    - Definition of Phonics

3. Definition of Phonics
4. Difference between Chinese & English
5. Difference between Phonics and Phonetics
 
    Phonics is about letter-sound relationships, i.e., sounds and their spelling.
    Phonological Awareness: phonemic awareness, rhyme awareness, syllable awareness, word awareness, and sentence awareness.
6. Sounds in English: 24 consonants, 20 vowels
7. How to teach
    - Pure letter-sound relationship
    - Adequate practice
8. Examples
    - How to introduce letters and sounds
    - Ways to practice sounds (segment, onset, rhyme, multiple letter combinations, etc)
    - Songs and rhymes to practice sounds
    - Reading to practice sounds
